Our Story
Evelyn Tambi is a wife, a mother of three, and the founder of Son of Man Ministry.
In 2006, she brought her children to Cameroon so they could study. While there, she began to see a deeper need—children who had no access to education, families struggling to survive, and communities lacking basic resources.
Alongside her husband, Cromwell, a registered nurse, she began helping where she could:
Sponsoring children’s education
Feeding orphans and widows
Supporting struggling families
What started as helping a few children grew into something much bigger.
By 2016, Son of Man Ministry was officially founded.
But the need didn’t stop—and neither did the mission.
When a local school was lost, it became clear:
More had to be done.
My husband and I began taking small but meaningful steps. We started sponsoring underprivileged children, helping them access education and meet their basic needs.
What began as a simple act of faith quickly grew into a deeper commitment to serve vulnerable children.
In 2014, we purchased land in Cameroon with the goal of building a Christian-based technical and comprehensive school—a place where children could learn, grow, and build a future.
But in 2016, a crisis struck. Conflict erupted in the English-speaking regions of Cameroon, leading to violence, displacement, and the destruction of schools. Families were torn apart, children lost parents, and education came to a standstill for many.
Even today, countless children have been out of school for years, with limited hope of returning.
Through these hardships, we remained committed. For over a decade, we have used our own resources to support children—providing school fees, food, clothing, and care.
What started as a personal calling has grown into a lifelong mission to restore hope through education and compassion.
Our Mission
Son of Man Ministry is dedicated to creating a future where every child has access to education, nourishment, and the opportunity to thrive.
We believe that true impact comes from addressing both physical and spiritual needs.
Our mission is to:
Provide access to quality, Christian-based education
Support orphans and vulnerable children with essential resources
Combat hunger by ensuring children receive consistent meals
Share the love and message of Christ through service and outreach
Our vision extends beyond temporary aid. We are working toward building a sustainable school in West Cameroon that will serve as a safe, stable environment for learning, skill development, and personal growth—especially for children affected by conflict and poverty.
Our Work
Over the years, our work has grown from helping a few children to supporting entire communities.
Through consistent dedication, we have:
Funded education for underprivileged children who would otherwise be unable to attend school
Provided food, clothing, and basic necessities to families in need
Supported children who have lost parents or been displaced due to conflict
Continued outreach efforts despite economic and regional challenges

Together, these organizations allow us to operate both locally and internationally—bridging resources from supporters to the children who need them most. Our approach is hands-on, relational, and focused on long-term impact rather than short-term relief.
Why It Matters
The crisis in Cameroon has left thousands of children without access to education for years. Many are now far behind academically, while others may never return to school without intervention. Poverty, displacement, and loss have created barriers that these children cannot overcome alone.
Education is more than learning—it provides stability, dignity, and a pathway to independence. Without it, children are far more vulnerable to exploitation, long-term poverty, and limited opportunities.
By investing in a child’s education and well-being, we are not only changing one life—we are strengthening families, uplifting communities, and building a more hopeful future for the next generation.
